Polaris 2.0 の RC が出ました

開発者向けの変更です。

対象は、Shopify の管理画面に埋め込むアプリの画面、embedded App Home。

The Polaris 2.0 release candidate is now available for embedded App Home interfaces. It includes the Shopify admin’s new visual styles, allowing your app to adopt the new look.

RC は release candidate の略。

新しい管理画面は、2026年9月15日から順に配られ始めました

RC は今すぐ採用でき、新旧どちらのデザインでも試せます。

The new Shopify admin design began rolling out progressively to merchants on September 15, 2026. You can adopt the release candidate now and test your app across both the previous and new Shopify admin designs.
（新しい Shopify 管理画面のデザインは、2026年9月15日から店主へ段階的に配られ始めました。release candidate はいま採用でき、旧デザインと新デザインの両方の管理画面でアプリを試せます）

管理画面の新デザインそのものは、9月19日の記事「管理画面の見た目が9月15日から順に変わります」で扱いました。

採用すると、店のデザインに合わせて見た目が変わります

使うのは polaris-2.0-rc.js です。

When your app uses polaris-2.0-rc.js inside the Shopify admin, its Polaris Web Components match the current visual design of that store:
（アプリが Shopify 管理画面の中で polaris-2.0-rc.js を使うと、その Polaris Web Components は、その店の現在の見た目のデザインに合わせて表示されます）

見え方は、店のデザインで分かれます。

新デザインの店 — 新しい色・文字・余白・アイコン
旧デザインの店 — polaris-1.js と同じ見た目
管理画面の外 — 既定で新しい見た目

In a store with the new Shopify admin design, components use the new color, typography, spacing, and icons.
In a store with the previous Shopify admin design, components keep the same visual style as polaris-1.js.
（新デザインの管理画面の店では、コンポーネントは新しい色・文字組み・余白・アイコンを使います。旧デザインの管理画面の店では、polaris-1.js と同じ見た目のままです）

管理画面の外での表示は、新デザインの店を使えるようになる前の確認用。

If you render the components outside the Shopify admin, they default to the new visual style. This lets you test the new appearance before you have access to a shop with the new Shopify admin design.

自動では移りません

Polaris 2.0 は、明示的に選んで採用します。

Adopting Polaris 2.0 is explicit. Apps using polaris-1.js or the legacy polaris.js URL don’t move to Polaris 2.0 automatically.

Built for Shopify のアプリは、2027年5月1日までに見た目を合わせます

期限が書かれているのは、Built for Shopify のアプリです。

If your app is part of Built for Shopify, you have until May 1, 2027 to update your embedded App Home interface to match the Shopify admin’s visual style.
（アプリが Built for Shopify に入っている場合、2027年5月1日までに、embedded App Home の画面を Shopify 管理画面の見た目に合わせて更新します）

Using the Polaris 2.0 release candidate lets you prepare during the progressive rollout of the Shopify admin. The components match the visual design available to each store, so the same app can support merchants on either Shopify admin design.
（Polaris 2.0 の release candidate を使えば、管理画面が段階的に配られている間に準備できます。コンポーネントは各店で使えるデザインに合わせるので、同じアプリで、どちらのデザインの店主にも対応できます）

試すときは、3つの環境で表示を見ます

読み込み先は、Shopify の CDN にある polaris-2.0-rc.js です。

画面の下端に固定の要素があるなら、Sidekick バーとの重なりに注意。

If your app has fixed or sticky content near the bottom of the viewport, use the environment API’s –shopify-safe-area-inset-bottom CSS variable so the floating Sidekick bar doesn’t cover your interface.
（画面の下端近くに固定・追従する要素がある場合は、environment API の –shopify-safe-area-inset-bottom CSS 変数を使い、浮かんでいる Sidekick バーが画面を覆わないようにします）

Polaris React のアプリは、先に Web Components へ移ります

Polaris 2.0 を採るには、Polaris Web Components が前提です。

If your app already uses Polaris Web Components, update the CDN URL to the release candidate and test your existing interface. If your app doesn’t use Polaris Web Components, migrate first so you can adopt Polaris 2.0.
（すでに Polaris Web Components を使っているアプリは、CDN の URL を release candidate に替えて、今の画面を試します。Polaris Web Components を使っていないアプリは、Polaris 2.0 を採用できるよう、先に移行します）

最初に手を付ける部品 — Page・Section・Button

Start with the Page, Section, and Button components. These components have the largest visual effect when aligning your app with the new Shopify admin design.

拡張は自動で合わせられます

Admin UI extensions と App Home UI extensions は、拡張のコードを更新しなくて済みます。

Admin UI extensions and App Home UI extensions automatically match the Shopify admin design available to each merchant. Their functionality doesn’t change, and you don’t need to update extension code to receive the new styles.
（Admin UI extensions と App Home UI extensions は、各店主が使える管理画面のデザインに自動で合います。機能は変わらず、新しいスタイルを受け取るために拡張のコードを更新する必要はありません）

画面の下端に固定の要素があれば、--shopify-safe-area-inset-bottom で Sidekick バーとの重なりを避ける
Built for Shopify のアプリなら、2027年5月1日を期限として予定に入れる
店主の側は、使っているアプリの提供元に Polaris 2.0 への対応予定を聞く
